Mobitix™ refers to a paperless ticket that is downloaded onto your compatible mobile phone.
Mobitix is an unregistered trademark of trainline.com ltd and subject to trademark applications.
The Mobitix Ticket is a new ticket type being trialled by several train companies in association with us, Trainline.com Limited, and is provided as part of the general Trainline.com Limited booking service, governed by the general Trainline Website Terms and Conditions which shall apply to your booking in addition to these specific Mobitix Trial Ticket Terms and Conditions.
We may modify these Mobitix Trial Ticket Terms and Conditions at any time without notice to you by posting revised terms on our sites. Your use of our sites constitutes your binding acceptance of the Mobitix Trial Ticket Terms and Conditions, including any modifications that we make. In the event of an inconsistency between these Mobitix Trial Ticket Terms and Conditions and Trainline Website Terms and Conditions, the provisions of the former shall control.

Train Operators
Mobitix tickets are currently being trialled with Virgin Trains, National Express East Anglia and Grand Central.
Booking Deadlines
Tickets must be booked by 18:00 the day before travel and are subject to availability.
Discounts
No discounts apply.
Refunds
All Mobitix tickets are non-refundable.
Train Cancellation and Delay
Please refer to the National Conditions of Carriage.
Reservations
Reservations are compulsory, where they are available, and must be made at the time of the booking.
Changes to Travel Plan
No changes to travel are allowed.
Conditions
In these terms and conditions the word “Mobile Phone” shall mean a mobile phone, a PDA, a Blackberry or any other type of handheld device allowing its owner to receive text messages.
This type of ticket is subject to availability. The ticket remains the property of Trainline.com Limited and/or the Train Operating Company and is not for resale, is non-transferable, and in the case of Advance tickets is non-refundable.
Prices are subject to change without notice.
By accepting these terms you are confirming that you have access to, can use and know how to use a Mobile Phone of suitable specification to receive and display these tickets on the Mobile Phone screen. We do not offer technical support and you shall ensure that the relevant technical specification of hardware is met.
The content of any suggestion by us for technical or system modifications on the web pages is furnished for informational use only, is subject to change without notice and should not be construed as advice or commitment by us.
Any modifications suggested may have unforeseen consequences, including reduced functionality, a potential security vulnerability or loss of data.
Your system may be different than the scenarios described. You must confirm your system requirements and specifications before proceeding.

We assume no liability or responsibility for any errors or inaccuracies that may appear in such suggestions on the website or any reliance thereon and TTL makes no representations about the suitability of such suggestions.
Your journey must be on the date, time and for Advance Mobitix tickets, the train specified on the ticket. If you travel on any train other than the one on which you are reserved your ticket will not be valid and this will result in you having to pay the full fare applicable to the service on which you are travelling.
The lead passenger must be the payment card holder and carry the card used to make the booking. All passengers travelling under the same booking must travel together at all times.
You are advised to be at your departure gate at least 20 minutes before the timetabled departure of the train to enable boarding in a timely manner and to ensure that any delays are avoided.
We shall not provide duplicate or replacement tickets. The Mobitix ticket must be stored on your Mobile Phone until the date and time of travel and such safekeeping shall be your responsibility.
If the mobile phone registered to accept the Mobitix is lost or stolen we cannot replace the ticket nor send the ticket to a new mobile phone number.
If you do replace your mobile phone and have the ticket confirmation text sent to the new phone it is your responsibility to ensure the ticket is compatible with your new hand set. If it is not and you attempt to use onboard a train you may be liable for the full fare.
The Mobitix ticket should be displayed clearly and fully and in a legible form and shall be free from damage or impairment precluding or interfering with the validation of the ticket.
If the Mobitix ticket has been damaged, defaced or otherwise impaired, the assertion of any right to use the service shall be withdrawn.
We, the Train Operator and the ticket inspector reserve the right to refuse to accept the Mobitix ticket to the extent that it is unsatisfactorily displayed or to the extent that we or they have reason to suspect a fraudulent use of confirmation, transfer to a different person, or other abuse or reproductions, copies or counterfeits of any Mobitix ticket are in circulation or suspected to be so.
Neither we nor the Train Operator shall be required to verify the authenticity of a Mobitix ticket, or verify that the party presenting a Mobitix ticket is in fact the purchaser of such a ticket even if a counterfeit or copy presented is not demonstrably a counterfeit copy.
If the holder of a Mobitix ticket is denied travel on the aforementioned grounds, the holder shall not be entitled to assert a refund or other claim for the purchase price of the ticket.
By purchasing a Mobitix ticket, you agree to cooperate with the train inspector and let him/her clearly view the ticket on your Mobile Phone and you acknowledge that you may be requested to hand over your Mobile Phone voluntarily for inspection. If you do not produce your ticket or hand over your Mobile Phone upon a request to do so by the train inspector, the train inspector shall be entitled to consider that you are travelling without a ticket.
We reserve the right to withdraw or discontinue this ticket type or the Mobitix trial at any time without notice and liability. Attempts will be made to call the contact number supplied at the time of purchase (which may or may not be the Mobile Phone number to which the ticket is delivered to) however primary notification will be via the registered e-mail address of the account used to make the booking.
Failure to meet any of these requirements will invalidate your ticket(s) and may result in you having to pay the full fare applicable to the service on which you are travelling.
Conditions of Use
There are only a limited number of these Mobitix Advanced tickets on a limited number of pre-determined trains and routes. If you can't get a ticket for the journey you want you'll need to either travel at a different time or buy a more expensive ticket valid on the train you want.
Each fare is based on a single fare journey.
Your ticket will be delivered to you at the latest two hours before the departure time of your train. Should you not have received your ticket less than two hours prior to travelling, please contact customer services (as detailed in the booking email).
Once your ticket is delivered to your Mobile Phone, you shall be responsible for storing your electronic ticket on your Mobile Phone, until the date and time of the journey and shall assume all risk arising from any loss of or damage to the ticket.
Tickets will be sold up to 18:00 on the date prior to travel.
The most popular trains will sell out well in advance of this so customers are advised to book early.
Liability
We accept no liability for theft or loss or your mobile phone (whether caused by or during inspection of your ticket by the ticket inspector or otherwise) or the accidental activation or deletion of your ticket.
We cannot be responsible for the refusal by the train inspector of your ticket for any reason whatsoever.
AS THIS IS A TRIAL, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES PROVIDED HEREUNDER WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. IN ADDITION, WE MAKE NO WARRANTY AS TO ANY CONTENT. THE MOBITIX SERVICES ARE DISTRIBUTED ON AN "AS IS, AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. NEITHER WE NOR ANY OF OUR PARTNERS MAKES ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF TITLE OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO MOBITIX SERVICES, ANY CONTENT OR ANY OUR SERVICES, TOOLS, PRODUCTS OR PROPERTIES. NEITHER WE NOR OUR PARTNERS SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE MOBITIX SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Validity
Mobitix ticket fares are subject to availability.
Tickets are available to use on selected services only. If you wish to travel on a train not specified, then you can purchase the ticket from our main web site, the ticket will either then be posted to your address or collected from a station self service machine.
Your ticket is only valid for the date, train and reserved seat(s) shown on your ticket(s).
Break of Journey
You may not break and resume your journey at a station in-between except to change to/from appropriate connecting trains where these are shown on your ticket(s).
You must board and alight at the stated departure and arrival stations. You may not board or alight at otherpoints on the route. If you do a penalty or full fare may apply.

Virgin Trains: If your train is cancelled or severely delayed and you decide not to travel, you can apply for a refund by contacting Virgin Trains Customer Relations at customer.relations@virgintrains.co.uk
In the event of a conflict between the train company and the general terms and conditions, the train company terms and conditions apply.
